How much does it cost to use Up work?
Joining Up work is free for freelancers but you can also choose to upgrade to the $ 10 Month Plus Plus plan.
While joining Up work is free, Up work charges anyone who works independently for a service fee.
This is the percentage of your salary that is charged when the client pays you. Service fee is a slide fee based on your lifetime payment per client. This means that the service fee decreases as you continue to earn more per client.
My charges are as follows:
20% of all work as long as the amount paid to the client is less than $ 500.
10% if the total amount paid to the client is more than $ 500 but less than $ 10,000
5% if the total amount paid to the client exceeds $ 10,000
What is Upwork?
Sounds a little hard?
This means that for example when you get a first job on a particular client and the amount paid is between $ 1- $ 500, Upwork will deduct 20% of the amount paid.
But if you get a second job with the total amount paid for the first job and then the second job is over $ 500 but less than $ 10,000 you the platform will take 10% of the amount paid for the second job.
The idea of these smooth investments is to encourage self-employed people to do their best to get repeat jobs from the same clients. This helps to improve the quality of service provided on the site and improve customer trust on the site.
